On March 4, 2022, the second day of the Tibetan new year, the monks' and nuns' three-year retreats of Naropa's tradition at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat were completed.
Thirty retreatants - nineteen monks who comprised the eighth batch of the monks' retreat and eleven nuns who comprised the ninth batch of the nuns' retreat - completed the retreat, which lasted three years and three fortnights. The retreat programme included practices related to the general stages of both the path of means and the path of liberation, along with specific tantric sadhana practices.
At the completion of their retreat, Guru Vajradhara bestowed a teaching to the retreatants and expressed his best wishes and aspirations for their experience and realization to increase.
