At the repeated requests of Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling's Shedra, Tergar Osel Ling, and Karma Lekshey Ling monasteries in Nepal, Tergar Rigzin Kacho Dargye Ling Monastery in Bodhgaya, India, and Taklung Osal Chewe Ling Monastery in Bhutan, along with many other disciples from all over the world, on April 9, 2023, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa bestowed Getsul (novice) ordination to 127 male and 15 female devotees. The ceremony took place at Leela Ambience Convention Hotel in Delhi. Guru Vajradhara performed the ritual of bestowing Getsul ordination according to the doctrine of Vinaya in the manner of being both ordaining preceptor and ceremonial master, assisted by an assembly of the required number of monks serving as the interviewer, assistant preceptor and so forth.
On April 10, Guru Vajradhara, along with the mandatory number of assisting monks, bestowed Gelong (full) ordination to 74 monastics through the four-fold ritual of one request and three proclamations. Thus, a total of 216 male and female devotes accomplished becoming supreme vessels for reaching the ultimate liberation.
