With great interest, diligence, and cooperation, the teachers and students of Palpung Sherabling Monastic Primary School completed this year's main and auxiliary classes.
From January 9 onwards, the four-day annual exams were carried out under the caring supervision of the primary school's hard-working, capable, and wise teachers. Young students from Upper Kindergarten up to Class 6 sat for written exams on: reading and writing Tibetan language, which is the foundation of Tibetan identity; texts on Tibetan spelling and grammar such as "The Thirty Verses," "The Guide to Signs," and "The Orthographical Dictionary"; English and Hindi languages; and mathematics.
The annual examination to ascertain the level of knowledge was concluded in the presence of Tantric College teachers with respective oral exams by young students of each class on memorizing Tibetan grammar root texts and various daily recitations and prayers.
