On January 10, 2022, about eighty students of Palpung Sherab Ling Monastic Seat's Monastic Primary School between the ages of 15 and 18 received the first dose of the Covaxin Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccination was organized by Palpung Munishasan Dharma Chakra Sangh, while the vaccine was provided by the Government of India and administered by a medical team from the Mahakal Primary Health Center in Baijnath.
