Teachings on Dharma and Sacred Dharma

For five days from November 8 to 12, 2022, Guru Vajradhara His Holiness the 12thChamgon Kenting Tai Situpa gave teachings on "Dharma and Sacred Dharma" at the Palpung Institute of Buddhist Studies. This transmission was requested and organised by the institute and attended by students from all over the world.

Guru Vajradhara taught about how to develop a way of thinking and conduct that does not contradict the right worldly view and at the same time accords with the sacred Dharma. He then explained how to cultivate view, meditation, and action in a manner conforming with the three yanas. Moreover, he gave instructions on how to clear away the difficulties and challenges in one's life by fully relaxing one's body and mind, along with teaching various techniques of shamatha meditation to stabilize the mind, methods of sustaining the nature of mind, such as observing stillness, movement, and awareness, and the meditation related to Avalokiteshvara.

Guru Vajradhara concluded this sacred transmission that benefitted disciples according to their needs with an introduction of how to take refuge, which sets one on the path to liberation, after which he conferred the refuge vows to those who wished to receive them.
