On June 30, 2022,khenpos, teachers, and staff of Palpung Yeshi Rabgye Ling Nunnery gathered together to celebrate the 38th birthday of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje, the embodiment of compassion and enlightened activity of all buddhas.
The celebration at the main shrine hall began with the online birthday celebration led by the Gyalwang Karmapa himself, which included an offering of a mandala along with representations of body, speech, and mind, a tea and sweet rice offering, long-life prayers, and an offering of birthday cakes and sweets along with chanting auspicious verses. The program continued with an online smoke-offering puja and an offering of white ceremonial scarves in front of the Gyalwang Karmapa's sacred image that brings liberation upon seeing.
