The Inauguration of Palpung Sotsee Shanphen Khang Clinic

At 10 am on July 29, 2022, the Kullu-Manali Tibetan settlement officer, representatives of local welfare associations and monasteries, the monastic seat’s medical team, and the nunnery's monastic community gathered at Palpung Yeshi Rabgye Ling Nunnery for the auspicious inauguration of Palpung Sotsee Shanphen Khang Clinic (Palpung Science of Holistic Healing Centre). The ceremony began with the chanting of auspicious verses, the inauguration of the clinic by the chief guest, and an offering of tea and sweets. This was followed by an introductory address by the nunnery's Khenpo, a speech about the opening of the clinic and the introduction of the resident doctor by the Palpung University of Buddhis Sciences' principal, and a lecture about health education by the resident doctor. The morning program was concluded with a speech by the chief guest.

In the afternoon, a free consultation and dispensation of medicines was offered to the local lay and monastic population, along with various treatments in accordance with the patients’ needs, such as hot compress, massage, acupressure, ointment, and other therapies.

On the following day, medical examination and treatment was offered to the entire community of the nunnery's teachers, staff, and students as well as local people.
