Yearly Ritual Performance Examination at the Nunnery

January 10, 2022

This year's visual transmission classes on the performance of rituals based on the curriculum for the study of sutras, tantras, and Buddhist sciences, which was designed by Guru Vajradhara H.H. Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa to improve the education at Palpung Yeshi Rabgye Ling Nunnery, have been successfully completed as the result of collective efforts of the nunnery’s teachers and students. Following that, from May 21, 2021 the nunnery's yearly ritual performance examination was conducted for five days under careful supervision of its khenpos, staff, and visual transmission teachers. The ritual performance exams included memorizing liturgical procedures for daily practices and regular ceremonies, making tormas and torma ornaments along with their arrangements, as well as playing various ritual instruments, such as white conches, gyaling trumpets, drums, and cymbals.
